On the 21st of May, a delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir Netherlands visited the Embassy of Pakistan in the Netherlands, regarding the kidnapping of Naveed Butt, the spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Pakistan. He was kidnapped in front of his children by the Pakistan Intelligent services on the 11th of May in broad daylight. The delegation spoke with the First Secretary, Mr. Tariq Karim. It was made clear that the work of the Party to re-establish the Khilafah solely embraces a peaceful method while this cowardly operation against Naveed Butt is an intellectual as well as a political crime. Therefore, his immediate release is demanded.

It was also mentioned that this cowardly stance of the Pakistani regime against the members of Hizb ut Tahrir is due its subservience to America. It was also mentioned that the use of violence, kidnapping, threats and intimidation will not make Hizb ut Tahrir Pakistan halt its activities.

Finally, an official statement from Hizb ut Tahrir Pakistan was delivered to the Embassy of Pakistan.
