France has decided to shutdown their embassies and consulates within 20 countries of the Islamic world. This is due to publication of new offensive cartoons of the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon him) by the French satirical weekly paper Charlie Hebdo. Hereby, the French have also officially joined this agitation against

Islam to intensify attacks on Islam and the Prophet of Islam, along with the American government.

The French government gives a clear signal that they stand steadfast behind their decision, despite disadvantageously consequences to shutdown their embassies, consulates and schools, nevertheless giving preference to publications which deeply insults and ridicules the Prophet of Islam. And do not forget that this will most probably cause major commotion and chaos in their own country, where there are millions of their Muslim inhabitants, and together with a social-economical imbalance, could make the country go back to what happened in 2005 with the ‘riots in Paris’. Despite all these negative consequences for themselves, they choose the path of abjection and slander under the category of ‘freedom of expression’ to take down and insult their Muslim community, Islam and her values.

But when Muslims want to have a demonstration to express their discontent regarding the ‘anti-Islam’ movie “Innocence of Muslims”, then it does not fall under the ‘freedom of expression’ and it just simply gets forbidden! It was under the pretext that the planned demonstration for upcoming Saturday had nothing to do with their own country and the French government did not feel like being involved in conflicts. This is the same as someone gives a full slap on the face of your loved one and then tells you that it has nothing to do with you and demanding you not to do anything back. There is another name for this: Oppression!

This dictatorial attitude and double standard of the French government shows us once again that this so-called “freedom of expression and speech” is a facade and a tool used to attack and disgrace Islam and Muslims whenever they want.

This all is pointing out to only one direction; it directs that the cradle of democracy and freedoms of Europe are bankrupt and gone off into oppression and slander. They just have to dig in a little bit into their own history to see that oppression and repression can never shut down the mouths of the people forever. And definitely not of the Muslims. We Muslims shall never renounce our Islam and everything that has to do with Islam, and we shall always stand up to defend it.
